We currently have a partial loss of functionality on the Cloudian cluster delivering object storage for SWITCHcoldstor and temporarily hosting Veeam backup. While it is possible to read data, writing is currently blocked as a number of nodes are unavailable. We are working to bring these online.

Dear SWITCHengines users,
We'd like to inform you that in the period from 24 December 2020 until 3 January 2021 inclusive, the SWITCH offices will not be staffed and the SWITCHengines and SWITCHcoldstor services will be operated with reduced reaction times.
Systems are monitored and support e-mail will be read on regular basis, but no immediate answer can be guaranteed. In case of urgent problems or serious incidents we are operating an escalation process for response.

Dear SWITCHengines users,
After 21h on December 2nd, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th, we will migrate subsets of the virtual routers serving VMs. This activity is performed to empty networking servers in turn, to enable patching them. The first three dates relate to our Zurich region, the latter three to our Lausanne region. Each time, about a third of a region's virtual router will be migrated.
We don't anticipate any material service impact. However, there may be a brief network blip, limited to the VMs using the virtual router being migrated at that moment.
Should any unforeseen contingencies arise, we'll raise an incident and inform over regular channels.
